Chinese IT-Ministry For Standardizing Blockchain “As Soon As Possible”
March 14, 2018
According to the press-release published on March 12, the China’s Ministry for Industry and Informational Technology has pursued a Blockchain research to facilitate complete standardized Blockchain system at the earliest.
The Information and Software Services Department of the Ministry together with the China Electronics Standardization Institute is to establish a committee to promote nationwide blockchain and distributed technology.
As the media release says, other international organizations like the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) have already began standardizing Blockchain. China has achieved positive effects in the field due to its participant status in the ISO committee for Blockchain.
Despite China having banned participation in ICO and crypto exchanges, its anti-cryptocurrency legislation did not hurt for the country to support blockchain and cryptography.
One of the China’s major retail traders JD.com has launched a Blockchain startup late February this year. It also began using Blockchain for tracking its meat supplies routes early March.
