Amazon Released Its Own Blockchain Solution
April 24, 2018
Last Thursday Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the world’s leading cloud providers, announced release of its own Blockchain samples.
“[This is] a fast and easy way to create and deploy secure blockchain networks using open source frameworks”, the company’s blog said.
On top of it new software supports two distributed ledger versions: for Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric.
Another post in the blog described in detail the way the templates work. The AWS’s Vice President Jeff Barr wrote, the primary reason for the company to enter Blockchain industry was huge perspectives the technology has given its future development.
“Some of the people that I talk to see blockchains as the foundation of a new monetary system and a way to facilitate international payments. Others see blockchains as a distributed ledger and immutable data source that can be applied to logistics, supply chain, land registration, crowdfunding and other use cases. Either way, it’s clear that there are a lot of intriguing possibilities and we are working to help our customers use this technology more effectively”, Barr noted.
Some other technological giants have already adopted Blockchain in their cloud solutions. IBM was the first to do so, Microsoft and Oracle followed his lead. It is to be added that Google did not leave the issue out as the company started developing its own blockchain-based technology for the same purposes last month.
