May 11, 2018
National standards for blockchain technology may come to China in 2019, as the country’s official said in the interview to Xinhua.
Li Ming, director at Blockchain Research Office under IT Ministry of China, has declared forming up a task group in charge of this issue. The group was named Blockchain and Distributed Accounting Technology Standardization Committee and joins efforts of representatives from various state agencies.
Though the country’s government does not plan that drafted standards will be able to advance blockchain in the country within the shortest possible time, Le believes, they can help in finding the courses of its development.
Note that the Ministry’s plans to standardize blockchain came to public notice in March when the body published related press release.
