Belarus to Set Requirements for Crypto & ICO Investors

Belarusian media outlet dev.by referring to a source close to National Bank of the Republic of Belarus reports, that the country plans to set strict requirements for cryptocurrency and ICO investors.
Financial regulators wants to make ICO investment available only for qualified investor, so retail ones will be safeguarded from the risks of this industry. To become a qualified investor one should have an appropriate education and work experience.
However, if a person does not possess these criterias, a status of a qualified investor can still be obtained. One should have a minimum annual income of $20,000 and a minimum savings of $50,000 in cash, securities, or cryptocurrency. According to a data company CEIC, the annual household income per capita in Belarus in 2017 is $3,348.27.
