Bavaria’s Prosecutor Office Realized Seized Cryptocurrency

Prosecutor’s office of the Germany’s Bavaria has realized cryptocurrency to the tune of $14 million seized before in the course of the investigation involving “Lesen und Lauschen” online platform thus having set new record for the state.
The selling involved 1,312 bitcoins, 1,399 BCH, 1,312 BTG and 220 ETH. Digital assets were sold out during 60 days in more than 1,500 separate deals.
Note that such auctions with resale of seized funds is a common practice among world law enforcement bodies. For instance, that is how USMS realized almost four thousand bitcoins of over $40 million worth in January 2018.
