World Bank Exceeds Blockchain Bonds Target

The World Bank board has reported, in the course of blockchain-based bond issuance they have beaten the target by $8 million thus having received around $81 million.

The World Bank used to announce its one-of-a-kind project earlier, namely, issuing the first bonds on distributed ledger to the amount of $73 million. The project was named “bond-i”. Australia-based company Commbank is issuance facilitator and one of the largest investors in this project along with QВЕ Insurance, SАFА, Northern Trust, etc.

The product is based on the Ethereum distributed ledger with architecture and security analysis made by Microsoft corporation.
