Vitalik Buterin: Crypto Market Won’t See Thousandfold Growth Anymore
September 10, 2018
The founder of the Ethereum crypto platform Vitalik Buterin has given an interview to Bloomberg to tell that the crypto industry won’t have any dramatic growth in the future:
“The blockchain space is getting to the point where there’s a ceiling in sight. If you talk to the average educated person at this point, they probably have heard of blockchain at least once. There isn’t an opportunity for yet another 1,000-times growth in anything in the space anymore.”
As he said, rate growth of Bitcoin and altcoins has depended directly on marketing strategy over the last six or seven years which has become a “dead-end” one for some projects.
Buterin is convinced, developing crypto industry now must be committed to those who are interested in digital currencies, ready to bring blockchain products to practice and wish to delve into the subject.
Remarkable enough, since January this year that witnessed the coin’s highest rate ever ETH cost has dropped by over 135%. According to Bloomberg expert Mike McGlone, Ethereum price may lower down to $155 over time due to constantly increasing competition, volatility and maturity of the crypto market.
