September 17, 2017
CoinDesk published an analytical report where key tendencies, facts and cryptocurrency and blockchain market researches were described. Here are the most interesting results of the survey.
Firstly, 93 % of cryptocurrency owners are men, among them there are 39 % of relatively young ones(26-35y.o.), near 15 % of middle aged ones(46-55y.o.) and 10 % of very young ones(18-25 y.o.).
Secondly, 40 % of people bought the currency in 2017, 16 % did it in the last year and 12 % bought in 2013.
Besides, 22 percent of respondents hold from 10000 to 50000 dollars in cryptocurrency, 20 % have from 1000 to 5000 dollars in cryptocurrency and 16 % keep no more 1000 dollars in cryptocyrrency. Furthemore, 41 % of cryptoholders make several transactions every month, 14 % make it several times a year. An average respondent has 4 unique digital actives.
According to the interrogation, 43 % of people speak unkindly about the current state of the Bitcoins. 58 % believe in an actively expanding 'bubble'. In spite of the fact that the proportion of people who are satisfied with radio waves are more than satisfied with Bitcoins (65 % versus 57 % respectively), this figure is 29 % lower than in the first quarter of 2017. 72 % of interrogation participants believe that the production of bitcoin is excessively centralized, and the situation will only worsen. 95 % believe that the launch of the ICO is contraindicated for the transfer of funds to the system, and the abundance of ICO itself negatively affects the entire air ecosystem.
In addition to it, near 77 % of respondents are sure that by the end of the next year the first cryptocurrency ETF will be launched.
Also people marked the most perspective spheres for blockchain:
1. Decentralized exchange – 26.17 %
2. Confidential transaction – 20.21 %
3. Tools for assets management – 18.6 %
4. Digital identification – 11.76 %
5. Centralized calculation – 9.26 %
6. Market prognosis – 7.33 %
7. Information storage – 6.68 %
About 40 % of respondents has taken part in ICO, 30 % did not participate, but they are thinking about it. The main reason to take part for 60 % is long-term investments. Both the lack of information from the independent media and the lack of legislation framework push people off investments.
