One of the Queensland airports is to make cryptocurrency a means of payment.
Brisbane airport partners with TravelbyBit platform that allows for conducting decentralized payment in terminals. Tourists will soon have an option to pay Bitcoin, Dash and Ethereum for services, food and goods.
The new technology confers the users saving identity data in personal account. Low commission fees and exchange value as well as high transaction rate are also to be available soon.
“We are building a genuine use case for cryptocurrencies in the tourism industry. The application of digital currencies in this sector makes a lot of sense. Whenever you travel overseas you have to deal with multiple currencies and you never know what exchange rates the banks are charging you. Here at TravelbyBit we are promoting the Bitcoin travel movement. Digital currency for worldwide travel”, TravelbyBit CEO Caleb Yeoh says.
